So.. I have not put any posts up because there are so many things that I want to say and put pictures of... But I haave no idea where our small camera is. All I can find is our huge Nikon Rebel. (Well it was never lost, I just know where it is, so I guess I didn't really find it... but moving on) The problem is that the memory card is HUGE in that thing and we don't have a card reader that is big enough. I mean my laptop has a regular card reader built into it, but to use that would require me ti find my other, smaller camera... which I can't find. Until I find my small camera, or get a bigger card reader, I guess my blog will remain pictureless.
Or I could just take a bunch of pictures to my mother-in-laws house... hmmmm..;)

Feels like home...
Well.. almost. Kurt and I have been decorating our apartment over the past couple of weeks. It is still a work in progress and I promise to post pictures when we get it all finished.
On a different note, Kurt heard from the company he applied for... and he has to apply online!! Woohoo for the run-around! The job has to be posted online for 5 days to allow for current employees to be able to apply within the company. The man taking over Kurt's application process, Mike, is a good friend of my dad's. I mean I babysat the man's kids when I was a teenager. He talked to the regional manager/ head guy.. and I guess he is completely for Kurt getting this well planning job. But formalities must be done in order for the application process to be complete. We hope that this long (what feels like forever but have only been a couple weeks) process will be all over Monday and Kurt will have a happy new job. :)

First Month
I have officially been married for one month and 3 days. A month ago, Kurt and I were in Catalina Island shopping, eating, and playing the best round of miniature golf I have ever played. (Which I won... by 1 stroke.. or point.. or however you want to keep score) Our honeymoon was great; we had so much fun. It was also nice just to relax.. except for the fact that Kurt thought he was going to be busted for the fruit that his mom gave us to take on our trip. But that is another story completely.
So when we got back I felt like we were non-stop, in fact I still feel that way. First, we had to visit with family, which was so nice to get to be back home and with family again. We got, back on Friday, had a BBQ on Saturday, and hung out with family on Sunday as well. Then, on Monday I had to go back to school and Kurt went back to work. (Bummer) The next weekend was Easter, which was celebrated on Saturday and Sunday. The next week, Jacob came home, so we were at Kurt's parents everynight that he was in town. It was so nice to see him after almost 2 years. I just wish it was 2 weeks earlier so he could have come to the wedding. We teased him about missing out and that all of a sudden when he got home he has a neice and a sister-in-law. It was pretty funny, because after about 2 days of being home, he looked at me and just said, "You are my sister-in-law." I asked, "What it just hit you?" He said, "Yep."
So after Jacob went back up north to earn some money, which was last friday, we have been shopping with our wonderful Target gift cards and trying to get our house decorated and organized. Our stuff is everywhere after I moved in. Now this weekend was my friend Danielle's Bridal Shower. And next weekend is her wedding. Will it ever end? This neverending to-do list is driving me crazy. All I want to do is... nothing. But I know that will never happen.. so I spend my days going to school, working, doing homework, running errands, cleaning... etc.

Feelin Bloggy..
Here I am at work... again. And I, for some reason, feel the need to blog. Maybe it is the lack of customers and things to do, or maybe I just feel the need to update you in my oh so crazy life. :)
So here is the update on Kurt's job situation:
We heard from the company that wants to hire him and they are not sure if they want to hire him as an MWD (note: I would explain to you what that is, but I am not even sure that I know what the job entails. I know that he would be gone on a rig a lot.) Anyways, they may want to hire him on as a Well Planner. He would be plotting wells in a computer to decide where to drill next. This means that he will be working in an office IN TOWN!!! That is so nice to know that if he does gets this job I will stil get to see him everyday. We are still not sure if he will get it or not, we should know this week sometime. I will be sure to keep you posted.
On a completely different note, I took my CBEST yesterday. I was so stressed the night before. I was looking online for practice tests, wondering what I had gotten myself into. (note 2: people had told me how easy it was, but being the over-analyzer that I am, I was not so sure that I would find it so easy.) I mean, I have always been good at school, unmotivated at times, but still good. :) I was scared to death that I would fail. But then I looked at the practice tests and started laughing. -- There I was in the office, laughing at myself (quietly so Kurt would not think that I had gone mental). I had expressed to him that I was stressed, and being the loving and supportive husband that he is, he told me I was being silly and not to worry. :)
So I took the test, and it really was easy! I was so relieved as I was going through it. As I think back now, I really did not have a problem with any of the questions. I will get my results in a few weeks. I guess I just have to wait to see how I did.
Well, I think I should get back to work now.

Out of the Closet :)
As my sister in-law-in-law so elloquently put, My husband and I (or just me.. cuz he is not writing anything :)) are out of the blogging closet.
Kurt and I are anxiously awaiting one of the biggest decisions of our lives. We have only been married for 3 1/2 weeks, but Kurt is planning on making an enourmous move to another job. This is a great opportunity for our family to get our feet planted firmly on the ground. The downside to this job, Kurt will have to travel and be gone.... a lot. We have been praying a lot about this, and now it all rests in the hands of God. We should know by Friday whether or not Kurt will have this job or not. And with that when he leaves for training and what not.
Well I hope that gives you a little more insight into the wonderful world of the Thompsons. I will post pictures of things soon.. but not now.. because... well... I am at work. :) I know.. workin hard.
