Frustrated.. and a little confused

I went in to by OB's office to get some blood tests done. (Glucola test= YUCK!) And as I was waiting I was talking to the nurse/receptionist and I was asking about ultrasounds and such.. since I have not had one. I was expecting to get one because, well everyone else on the planet seems to get them early. I was wondering if I was going to get one at my next (12 week) appointment. They said that insurance will only pay for 2 ultrasounds throughout my pregnancy. They give me the first one at 20 weeks.. and the next one later if they need to. Seriously.. I have to wait until I am 20 weeks? I have seen plenty of blogs and known people with ultrasounds done way earlier than that. So I guess I am just a little frustrated. They said it was because they have to send out for an ultrasound and it is not "within the office." I am seriously debating switching offices. Any suggestions for doctors or words of advice? I am so lost.. even the books say I am supposed to get one during this check-up. UGH! Help!?

Oh the Potential

We did not get our keys today. The lender still needs a verification of employment from Kurt's old job. They failed to tell us that they still needed things yesterday when they said we would close today. But that is just the way it is going to happen and we can't do anything to hurry it along. So instead of good news of us getting the keys.. I will show you the potential my home has. It may look something like this one day.

After "apple picking" on Saturday, we all went to the model homes on the other side of town. Barbie said they had our floor plan in a model and we decided to go look at it. Kurt and I are putting in all new floors in our new home and wanted to see what they model home had.

I will post pictures of the house before we start the work. We took some the other day..but these make me happy. The list of projects that he have in store for this house is going to be a long one.

Scratch that...

Tuesday will be the day. :) But we do get to keep the keys for the weekend to do a little cleaning, measuring or whatever we need. A little disappointing.. but still super exciting!!

Today could be the day

We may in fact be home owners by the end of the day today! We are SOOOO excited! Kurt is calling PG&E and the water company to get all of our stuff set up! Tonight we may be ripping out carpet and cleaning! Woohoo!!! I do not even know what to say because I am so excited! We signed the papers yesterday and should get our keys this afternoon! I will post later if we indeed got the house or not.. but then again if I am tearing up carpet.. I might not.. So if you don't hear from me, some can ask tomorrow when we have lunch. :)
